Here is just a little background about us and how we got to where we are today.
It all started with my grandfather John Grelle and a Full Service Mobil Gas Station at the corner of what was then Bellafontaine Road and Route 66. He owned and operated this station until his two son's Ron (my father) and Larry took over the station. It was at this gas station that Ron and his freinds learned how to repair and modify 60's and 70's muscle cars. Ron's personal ride was a 70 Chevelle with a 396 Big Block Chevy.
As I grew up I spent more and more time at the gas station following my dad around learning what I could. By the time I was 16 I was working as a mechanic for my dad. Unfortunately by this time the family gas station was taken over by Mobil Oil to be converted into a mini-mart which stands in the foot print of the old filling station seen in the picture above. The shop was moved down the street to a Sunoco Filling station where it stayed for about 8 years until we were priced out of business once again for yet another minimart. The third move was to the garage that stands at the back of my parents property. Not long after the move my dad retired and I went off to school to get a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Just like me Tim gained his knowledge from his Father and uncles who were all big into cars and always had a need for speed. Tim took what his dad had to offer and kept building on that knowledge. Tim and I have been working on our cars, freinds cars, and old customers of my dad's ever since high school. Today Tim is working as an Information Systems Technician.
So together we decided to start up a new shop and web based store to supply parts and engineering services to racers everywhere. ET Motorsports was born!
Here are a few more pics from the old Mobil Station. Not everyday is a good day, as can be seen. Ron and Larry had just put this '54 Chevy up on the lift. Noticing that is was not sitting quite right they were just about to let it back down to reset the lift. However it decided to let itself down as you can see.
