This was the first engine I ever rebuilt that was more than 1 Cylvinder.  I found the Holley carb in the junkyard and rebuilt it with a little help from C&S specialties of St. Charles, MO.  I made a bad mistake of not cleaning the block throughly after haveing it honed and hot tanked.   It ate the frist camshaft in about 6000 miles and then it ate two more every 3000 miles.  After the last cam I pulled the motor and installed a Junk Yard Jewel that lasted me about 50,000 miles before I built up the '89 chevy motor that is in the current '83 olds cutlass.
